The 50 mm Split E1000 2-Bolt Pillow Block Non-Expansion Bearing with Labyrinth Seals is Moline Bearing Company part 49322050L: a split-housing mounted tapered roller bearing in the non-expansion position. It is fitted with a balanced steel and Teflon labyrinth seal and a double collar, set screw locking insert, in a split 65-45-12 ductile iron housing with a standard painted finish.

It carries a genuine Timken® Enhanced DEE tapered roller insert in a replaceable solid cartridge, so the bearing can be swapped without removing or replacing the housing. The housing is 65-45-12 ductile iron, split so it can be fitted around a shaft in place. Split E1000 units are made, machined and assembled in the USA.

It ships assembled, adjusted, sealed and pre-lubricated with lithium complex grease, so it mounts straight from the box with no adjustment or cleaning.

Ratings

The dynamic load rating is 10,300 lbf and the static load rating is 43,000 lbf. Maximum speed is 3,050 rpm with the balanced steel and Teflon labyrinth seal fitted, and the seal is rated for 0° to 350°F. The insert accepts up to 4° of angular misalignment. Set screws torque to 290 in-lbs, and the locking system holds 8,400 lbf of radial load before the insert slips on the shaft. The grease fitting is 1/8-27 NPT.

This configuration

  • Non-Expansion. This position holds the shaft axially. Use one non-expansion bearing per shaft to locate it lengthwise. The matching expansion unit for this shaft size is 39322050L.
  • Balanced Steel and Teflon Labyrinth Seal. A labyrinth seal combining steel with a Teflon element, adding chemical resistance and a wider temperature range to a non-contact design.
  • Double Collar. Two locking collars share the clamping load, improving holding power under reversing rotation or shock.
  • Set Screw Locking. Set screws in the collar bite into the shaft. Simple and widely used; best where rotation is in one direction.

Replacement parts

The bearing insert is NPE370DEE-401C4. Open end cap 18621115 and closed end cap 18620115 fit this housing.

Applications

The split housing is for shafts that cannot be dismantled to feed a solid bearing on, in the same high radial and thrust load service as Type E: conveying, screening, cranes, mining, forestry, oil, gas, power generation and aggregate. It is dimensionally interchangeable with comparable Type E units, including Moline's Type E, ME2000 and ME3000 lines.
