1-11/16 ME3000 PILOTED FLANGE EXPANSION
The 1 11⁄16" ME3000 Piloted Flange Expansion Bearing is Moline Bearing Company part 29631111: an Even-Lok™ mounted spherical roller bearing with Type E dimensions in the expansion position. It is fitted with a standard double lip contact seal and a single collar, Even-Lok insert, in a solid Class 30 cast iron housing with a standard painted finish.
It carries a genuine SKF® Explorer spherical roller insert and locks to the shaft with Moline's Even-Lok™ concentric system, which grips nearly 360° of the shaft instead of at set-screw points, reducing fretting and slippage. A Hex-L key for mounting and dismounting ships with it. ME3000 housings are made in the USA, and the units are assembled here.
It ships assembled, adjusted, sealed and pre-lubricated with lithium complex grease, so it mounts straight from the box with no adjustment or cleaning.
Ratings
The dynamic load rating is 20,200 lbf and the static load rating is 19,800 lbf. Maximum speed is 3,500 rpm with the standard double lip contact seal fitted, and the seal is rated for 0° to 250°F. The insert accepts up to 1.5° of angular misalignment. Set screws torque to 290 in-lbs. The grease fitting is 1/8-27 NPT.

This configuration
- Expansion. This position lets the shaft move lengthwise as it heats and grows. Pair it with a non-expansion bearing at the other end. The matching non-expansion unit for this shaft size is 29731111.
- Standard Double Lip Contact Seal. Two lips in series, so the second continues to seal if the first is compromised. A step up in dirty conditions.
- Single Collar. One locking collar secures the insert to the shaft. Standard for unidirectional rotation and steady loads.
- Even-Lok. Moline's concentric locking system, which clamps the insert evenly around the shaft rather than at set-screw points. Improves concentricity and holding power versus set screws.

Replacement parts
The bearing insert is ABSY 22209-111, and the housing on its own is Moline Bearing Company part 11321111. Open end cap 18621111 and closed end cap 18620111 fit this housing.
Applications
ME3000 units are for Type E-footprint mounts where vibration, slippage or fretting corrosion would loosen a set-screw insert. Moline Bearing Company lists conveying, screening, air handling, industrial laundries and high-speed fans among the industries that run them. It is dimensionally interchangeable with competitive spherical roller bearing units in Type E dimensions, including Moline's Split E1000 and ME2000 lines.
