The 4" ME2000 4-Bolt Pillow Block Non-Expansion Bearing with Garter Seals is Moline Bearing Company part 29241400G: a mounted spherical roller bearing with Type E dimensions in the non-expansion position. It is fitted with a spring loaded garter seal and a single collar, set screw locking insert, in a solid Class 30 cast iron housing with a standard painted finish.

It carries a genuine SKF or Timken spherical roller insert in a solid cast iron housing with an integrated center support, so it gives spherical-roller misalignment and expansion capability in a Type E footprint. ME2000 housings are made in the USA, and the units are assembled here.

It ships assembled, adjusted, sealed and pre-lubricated with lithium complex grease, so it mounts straight from the box with no adjustment or cleaning.

Ratings

The dynamic load rating is 69,900 lbf and the static load rating is 93,300 lbf. Maximum speed is 700 rpm with the spring loaded garter seal fitted, and the seal is rated for 0° to 250°F. The insert accepts up to 1.5° of angular misalignment. Set screws torque to 1,325 in-lbs, and the locking system holds 8,400 lbf of radial load before the insert slips on the shaft. The grease fitting is 1/8-27 NPT.

This configuration

  • Non-Expansion. This position holds the shaft axially. Use one non-expansion bearing per shaft to locate it lengthwise. The matching expansion unit for this shaft size is 29141400G.
  • Spring Loaded Garter Seal. A contact seal with a garter spring keeping constant lip pressure on the shaft, holding its seal as the lip wears.
  • Single Collar. One locking collar secures the insert to the shaft. Standard for unidirectional rotation and steady loads.
  • Set Screw Locking. Set screws in the collar bite into the shaft. Simple and widely used; best where rotation is in one direction.
