The 65 mm ME2000 2-Bolt Pillow Block Expansion Bearing with Labyrinth Seals is Moline Bearing Company part 29121065L: a mounted spherical roller bearing with Type E dimensions in the expansion position. It is fitted with a balanced steel and Teflon labyrinth seal and a single collar, set screw locking insert, in a solid Class 30 cast iron housing with a standard painted finish.

It carries a genuine SKF or Timken spherical roller insert in a solid cast iron housing with an integrated center support, so it gives spherical-roller misalignment and expansion capability in a Type E footprint. ME2000 housings are made in the USA, and the units are assembled here.

It ships assembled, adjusted, sealed and pre-lubricated with lithium complex grease, so it mounts straight from the box with no adjustment or cleaning.

Ratings

The dynamic load rating is 33,300 lbf and the static load rating is 41,100 lbf. Maximum speed is 3,250 rpm with the balanced steel and Teflon labyrinth seal fitted, and the seal is rated for 0° to 350°F. The insert accepts up to 1.5° of angular misalignment. Set screws torque to 290 in-lbs, and the locking system holds 4,000 lbf of radial load before the insert slips on the shaft. The grease fitting is 1/8-27 NPT.

This configuration

  • Expansion. This position lets the shaft move lengthwise as it heats and grows. Pair it with a non-expansion bearing at the other end. The matching non-expansion unit for this shaft size is 29221065L.
  • Balanced Steel and Teflon Labyrinth Seal. A labyrinth seal combining steel with a Teflon element, adding chemical resistance and a wider temperature range to a non-contact design.
  • Single Collar. One locking collar secures the insert to the shaft. Standard for unidirectional rotation and steady loads.
  • Set Screw Locking. Set screws in the collar bite into the shaft. Simple and widely used; best where rotation is in one direction.
