70MM ME2000 4-BOLT FLANGE EXPANSION DOUBLE COLLAR

The 70 mm ME2000 4-Bolt Flange Expansion Bearing with Double Collar Insert is Moline Bearing Company part 29111070D: a mounted spherical roller bearing with Type E dimensions in the expansion position. It is fitted with a standard triple lip contact seal and a double collar, set screw locking insert, in a solid Class 30 cast iron housing with a standard painted finish.

It carries a genuine SKF or Timken spherical roller insert in a solid cast iron housing with an integrated center support, so it gives spherical-roller misalignment and expansion capability in a Type E footprint. ME2000 housings are made in the USA, and the units are assembled here.

It ships assembled, adjusted, sealed and pre-lubricated with lithium complex grease, so it mounts straight from the box with no adjustment or cleaning.

Ratings

The dynamic load rating is 35,500 lbf and the static load rating is 46,800 lbf. Maximum speed is 1,600 rpm with the standard triple lip contact seal fitted, and the seal is rated for 0° to 250°F. The insert accepts up to 1.5° of angular misalignment. Set screws torque to 620 in-lbs, and the locking system holds 4,200 lbf of radial load before the insert slips on the shaft. The grease fitting is 1/8-27 NPT.

This configuration

• Expansion. This position lets the shaft move lengthwise as it heats and grows. Pair it with a non-expansion bearing at the other end. The matching non-expansion unit for this shaft size is 29211070D.
• Standard Triple Lip Contact Seal. Three lips in series for demanding contamination exclusion, at the cost of more running friction and heat.
• Double Collar. Two locking collars share the clamping load, improving holding power under reversing rotation or shock.
• Set Screw Locking. Set screws in the collar bite into the shaft. Simple and widely used; best where rotation is in one direction.
