The 90 mm Type E 4-Bolt Pillow Block Non-Expansion Bearing with Single Collar Insert is Moline Bearing Company part 19341090A: a mounted tapered roller bearing in the non-expansion position. It is fitted with a standard V-Guard contact seal and a single collar, set screw locking insert, in a solid Class 30 cast iron housing with a standard painted finish.

It carries a genuine Timken® Enhanced DEE tapered roller insert: case-hardened rollers and races made from vacuum-degassed steel, with a double-extended inner race, rated for high radial and thrust loads and slight angular misalignment. The housing is machined to close tolerances, and the unit is made, machined and assembled in the USA.

It ships assembled, adjusted, sealed and pre-lubricated with lithium complex grease, so it mounts straight from the box with no adjustment or cleaning.

Ratings

The dynamic load rating is 19,600 lbf and the static load rating is 108,000 lbf. Maximum speed is 1,640 rpm with the standard V-Guard contact seal fitted, and the seal is rated for 0° to 250°F. The insert accepts up to 0.05° of angular misalignment. Set screws torque to 620 in-lbs, and the locking system holds 16,000 lbf of radial load before the insert slips on the shaft. The grease fitting is 1/8-27 NPT.

This configuration

  • Non-Expansion. This position holds the shaft axially. Use one non-expansion bearing per shaft to locate it lengthwise.
  • Standard V-Guard Contact Seal. Moline's standard contact seal, with a lip riding on the insert to exclude contamination.
  • Single Collar. One locking collar secures the insert to the shaft. Standard for unidirectional rotation and steady loads.
  • Set Screw Locking. Set screws in the collar bite into the shaft. Simple and widely used; best where rotation is in one direction.

The bearing insert is 42354DE or NPE42354DEE-401C4. Closed end cap 18620307 fits this housing.

Applications

Type E units are specified where radial loads, thrust loads or both are high and misalignment is minimal. Moline Bearing Company lists conveying, screening, cranes, mining, forestry, oil, gas, power generation and aggregate among the industries that run them. It is dimensionally interchangeable with comparable Type E units, including Moline's Split E1000, ME2000 and ME3000 lines.
