50MM TYPE E 4-BOLT FLANGE WITH SINGLE COLLAR INSERT & LABYRINTH SEALS

The 50 mm Type E 4-Bolt Flange Non-Expansion Bearing with Single Collar Insert and Labyrinth Seals is Moline Bearing Company part 19311050AL: a mounted tapered roller bearing in the non-expansion position. It is fitted with a balanced steel and Teflon labyrinth seal and a single collar, set screw locking insert, in a solid Class 30 cast iron housing with a standard painted finish.

It carries a genuine Timken® Enhanced DEE tapered roller insert: case-hardened rollers and races made from vacuum-degassed steel, with a double-extended inner race, rated for high radial and thrust loads and slight angular misalignment. The housing is machined to close tolerances, and the unit is made, machined and assembled in the USA.

It ships assembled, adjusted, sealed and pre-lubricated with lithium complex grease, so it mounts straight from the box with no adjustment or cleaning.

Ratings

The dynamic load rating is 10,300 lbf and the static load rating is 43,000 lbf. Maximum speed is 3,050 rpm with the balanced steel and Teflon labyrinth seal fitted, and the seal is rated for 0° to 350°F. The insert accepts up to 0.05° of angular misalignment. Set screws torque to 290 in-lbs, and the locking system holds 8,400 lbf of radial load before the insert slips on the shaft. The grease fitting is 1/8-27 NPT.

This configuration

• Non-Expansion. This position holds the shaft axially. Use one non-expansion bearing per shaft to locate it lengthwise.
• Balanced Steel and Teflon Labyrinth Seal. A labyrinth seal combining steel with a Teflon element, adding chemical resistance and a wider temperature range to a non-contact design.
• Single Collar. One locking collar secures the insert to the shaft. Standard for unidirectional rotation and steady loads.
• Set Screw Locking. Set screws in the collar bite into the shaft. Simple and widely used; best where rotation is in one direction.

Replacement parts

The bearing insert is 370DE or NPE370DEE-401C4. Open end cap 18621115 and closed end cap 18620115 fit this housing.

Type E units are specified where radial loads, thrust loads or both are high and misalignment is minimal.
